We all know Sandya as a cute, bubbly girl. But this image of hers is about to take a complete U-turn. The actress is donning a negative role in the Malayalam film D-17. The film also stars Atul Kulkarni in a very important role. The plot is based on all the incidents that take place in a single room D-17. So will we see her in so-negative roles in Tamil as well? Well, Sandya feels that as compared to Tamil, Malyalam films and audiences are more open to experimentation. So for now, she is going to stick to her sweet image in Kollywood. Her upcoming Tamil films include Thoondil with Shaam and Manjal Veyyil with Prasanna.
Sandya is looking forward to the release of Kannaamoochi Enadaa, slated for Deepavali. Though she did quite a number of characters following an impressive debut through Kaadhal, she wants to bring about an interesting diversity in the range of roles she plays. "Kannaamoochi... is a mixed bag with comedy, romance and sentiment in likeable proportions. My forthcoming films Manjal Veyyil, Thoondil in Tamil and Cycle in Malayalam will definitely be different," says Sandya. This flourishing heroine is very enthusiastic to establish her identity in the industry through more challenging, performance-oriented roles. All the very best, lovely lady! You can surely make a mark!
