HQ Unseen Newly Updated Ravanan Stills

Ace director Maniratnam’s long-awaited bilingual film ‘Raavan’ (in Hindi) and ‘Raavanan’ (in Tamil) and ‘Villain’ (dubbed into Telugu) has reportedly netted a collection of Rs.53 crores in the country in its first three days, the producer Reliance Big Pictures informs us.

The showing of the film’s Hindi version, though, has been below par in North America. In America and Canada, where the film’s Hindi version was screened from 18th June, the collection recorded has amounted to US $550,000, a far cry from the collections recorded three years ago by the earlier Maniratnam film ‘Guru’.

Despite a good review of the film in leading dailies like ‘New York Times’ and ‘Los Angeles Times’, the theatres have been running near-empty in America, it is reported. This has forced the distributors to take the film off by this Thursday from these halls. ‘Guru’, released in 2007, collected a million dollar in its first three days, it is informed.

Velayutham is going to be the 52nd film for Illayathalapathy Vijay. The film is going to be produced by Oscar Ravichandran and Jeyam Raja has been confirmed to be the director of the film Velayutham. The film is expected to be a remake of the telugu film film which was done by Nagarjuna. The film was a success in telugu and so the team is confident of making Velayutham a sucess in Tamil Industry. Genelia will pair with Vijay in this film Velayutham and the story of the film is simple and it will be a action film. The hero will kill the bad guys and dons secretly and the person doing this good will be unknown. Later Genelia identifies the hero and names his Velayutham. Vijay is not interested in killing the villains anymore and finally when he feels to return to his actual duties, the incidents in his life forces him to continue his work as Velayutham by killing the bad guys and dons.

CHENNAI: This time, Vijay wanted his fans to be present at the pooja ceremony of his 52nd movie ‘Velayutham’.
His fans from 30 districts were present at the Madras University auditorium. All fans were given T-shirts, which had the imprint of Ilaya Thalapathy’s picture. His fans carried a torch from the Labour Statue and handed it over to Vijay amidst thunderous applause as he lighted the traditional kuthuvilaku with the help of the jyothi.

Sankar-Rajni-Rahman after the magnum-opus ‘Sivaji’ is ‘Endhiran’. This was inintially titled ‘Robot’. The female lead is Aishwarya Rai Bachan. The fans are eagerly waiting for this as the Rajni-Aish combination could not materialise in his previous projects though Aish was consulted.

Endhiran is getting hot day-by-day primarily due to the sci-fi subject and Sankar’s directorial skills with wonderful special effects in his films. This Sankar’s 10th film and all of his films have in one way or the other influenced the mindset of the audience as well as commercially proved successful.Endhiran started its shooting in September 2008 and now it has almost completed talkie portion with a few songs to be shot.

The post production of the film has started and Rajni will be starting dubbing for the next 20 days. The dubbing artist for Aish has not yet been finalised although Rajn’s daughter Aishwarya Dhanush was considered previously. Sources say that Kanika would be giving voice to Aish.

The film has been shot in many foreign locations and a particular song has been shot with a budget of 3 crores. The climax has been shot in an engineering college, Maduravoyal.
